Venting Gas Break Down Voltage Tester
Conventional methods for determing clearance and creepage distances in a battery are not sufficient. IEC 60664 is not adequate in a fault.
With the newly developed cell test rig, minimum clearances can be determinded as a function of the cell chemistry and the maximum voltage, so that there is no breakdown in case of venting.

Venting Gas Break Down Voltage Tester
This method is a test for research and development to identify the minimum gap to prevent the venting path/gas from arcing.
The ignition behavior of the venting gas can be investigated by triggering cells via heat plate.
- Ambient Temperature: 0°C – 60°C
- Voltage: 0 – 1000 V
- Break Down Distance: 0 – 50 mm
